Research

We develop scalable methods for various graphics and geometric applications. This shows companies and funding agencies that we've worked together.

Current research areas are shown in below.

Applications

We are currently working on three applications: Rendering, Image Search, and Motion Planning. These applications seem to be very different, but their core engines require scalalble proximity computing. As a result, we focus on designing scalable proximity computing and their applications to those high-level applications.

Rendering

Motion Planning for Robots

Image Search and Computer Vision

Techniques

To design scalable applications, we work on various orthogonal technologies. These are the main technologies that we are working on right now:

Regression based Reconstruction

Sampling based Planning for Robots

Nearest Neighbor Search & Hashing

Cache-coherent layouts and algorithms

Random-accessible compressed data

Collision Detection

Heterogeneous Parallel Computation
